ABOUT

Welcome!

Passionate, self motivated, and ready to change the world! These are three ways I would describe myself. I am a senior at Baylor University studying journalism with minors in Spanish and political science. Why this academic combination? On a shelf in my house sits a stack of books I wrote when I was four years old. My love of writing has existed as long as I have. In middle school I was reading “The Magic Treehouse” in Spanish, and hoped that one day I would be able to read books that were originally written in the language. To date, I can honestly say my favorite short story is “El Árbol de Oro”. And political science? All it took was one required, freshman year government class to realize I had a desire to better understand how our government worked, and how I as a citizen could contribute to change.

Above all, my desire is to use these passions to make a difference in human trafficking recovery and prevention programs across the country. My diverse work experience has equipped me to work in this environment, and I am excited to begin my journey!
